Visitors have to respect the hospital rules and reglations

Policy Statements: 

  • Kiziguro  hospital leaders ensure that visitors are received, oriented and safe while on hospital premise.
  • Kiziguro hospital leaders ensure that Customer Care Officer or Public Relations Officer are easily accessible by visitors and able to receive them appropriately.
  • Kiziguro hospital leaders that Security Officer is oriented and trained on visitors’ orientation.
  • Visitors shall abide by all hospital rules and regulations while on the hospital premise.

Procedures:

  1. Kiziguro hospital Customer Care Officer or Public Relations Officer avails and posts signs (internal and external) to orient visitors.
  2. Kiziguro hospital Customer Care Officer or Public Relations Officer determines and posts working hours, patients’ visiting hours and rules and regulations throughout the hospital at entrances and in the different hospital departments
  3. The customer care officer provides education on visiting hours to hospital staff, patients, and their relatives
  4. Kiziguro  hospital security officer welcomes, documents required information, and orients visitors to customer care officer if necessary.
  5. Kiziguro hospital public relations officer welcomes, orients, and provides right information to the hospital visitors.
  6. For visitors who want to see the patients in isolation rooms, he/she should always wear personal protective equipment (PPE) before entering the room and refer to the Patient Isolation Police and Procedure. This includes TB and Neonatology Department, among others.
  7. Visitors should respect hand washing before entering in hospital (at the entrance) and decontamination standards while into hospital

The nurses explain to patients and their next of kins the following visiting measures:

  1. Make visits only during hospital visiting hours,
  2. Orient them in department they intend to visit.
  3. Visiting is strictly limited to two persons per patient at bed side.
  4. Everyday visiting hours are the following as stated in visiting Policy and procedures

The customer care officer explains the following measures to administrative guests:

  1. Visiting Hours: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
  2. Arriving at the gate  visitors will give the identification to the security officer:
  3. Security officer will take the information below:
  • Identification (both names) and phone number or I.D number
  • Registration (place of origin, who the visitor would like to see…)
  • Orient visitors appropriately to where they wish to visit.

Registration and administration

  • Appointments can be scheduled through SUIVI Patient.
  • Patients are required to carry an insurance card, identification card, or passport.
  • International visitors are required to carry an identification card or passport for registration purposes.
  • Out patient clinics are open from Monday- Friday, 7:00 am-5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday clinics are open from 7:00 am- 5:00 pm

  • On public holidays, emergencyand other OPD cases are received.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, visits are strictly prohibited. Only 1 registered caretaker  will be allowed to visit patient.
